This summer, the Biden administration proposed a new Title IX rule that will gut protections for girls by redefining sex. 

This Biden administration's Title IX ruling could allow: 

• Biological males to compete in women's sports. 
• Biological males to use girls' bathrooms and locker rooms. 
• National School Lunch Program's funding to be taken away from schools that do not comply.
• Students to be charged with sexual harassment for not using another student's preferred pronouns.

Don't forget we are hosting a 2022 Congressional App Challenge.

The Congressional App Challenge is a competition aimed at encouraging middle and high school students to learn how to code by creating their own applications. The Challenge is intended to highlight the value of computer science and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education.

The House of Representatives knows how crucial these skills are and wants to encourage students to engage in these fields. By encouraging and recognizing our nation’s young programming talent, Congress hopes to shine a light on the growing importance of these skills.

This competition is open to all students who meet the eligibility requirements, regardless of coding experience. We strongly encourage students of all skill levels to participate, enabling them to learn how to create their own apps. Students are encouraged to register online and submit their apps by November 1st.

The iconic Battleship Texas made its way to Galveston this week for repairs. The USS Texas was commissioned in 1914 as the most powerful weapon in the world. The Battleship Texas is credited with the introduction and innovation of advances in gunnery, aviation, and radar. She is the last surviving Dreadnought as well as they only battleship in existence today that fought in both World War I and World War II. 

The Battleship Texas will undergo a $35 million project to repair the hull and restore the ship its former glory.
