John, in the last few months, Missourians have weathered both record-breaking flash floods in St. Louis and devastating droughts in the farmland. And now, a new study has said that Missourians could witness 125-degree days within our lifetime.
These weather catastrophes aren't just happening in Missouri. In Appalachia, there have been deadly, terrifying floods. Wildfires devastate the West Coast. Unprecedented heat waves are happening across America and around the world. All the while, sea levels are rising everywhere.
We are in a climate emergency. We are seeing it firsthand in Missouri, in Appalachia, and in practically every corner of the globe. And it is not going away anytime soon.
Until we take action to stop this climate crisis, we will continue to see farmers grappling with failed crops and droughts, communities devastated by floods, hurricanes, and wildfires, ranchers struggling to feed and water their livestock, and families unable to keep cool as our energy grid strains under pressure.
This isn't the next generation's battle; this is our battle, and we need to know where you stand. Please, before our live poll closes at 11:59 p.m. tonight, will you respond to make your voice heard?
How worried are you about the climate crisis?
