This year, I’ve helped pass some landmark legislation, like the Inflation
Reduction Act. Our movement is building towards a future of clean,
renewable energy, health care for all, stronger worker protections, and
economic justice.

I’ve also been working to elect progressives and protect the Democratic
majority this November. I’ve been right alongside people-first
progressives running in tough Democratic primaries and Democrats running
in tough swing districts against the GOP — knocking doors, running
phonebanks, holding events, and much more.

It’s going to take a lot of resources to protect our majority in the House
in a notoriously tough midterm election year. It’s going to take a lot of
resources to help Democrats win in November against Big Lie Republicans —
but my fundraising has been slipping ever since Q1 this year. We're 12%
behind pace on our strong online fundraising from earlier this year.

Election Day is less than 10 weeks away and a lot is on the line. If we
elect more progressives AND hold our Democratic majority, we have the
chance to build on our successes under President Biden. We would have the
chance to continue legislating towards the future we want — an America for
all, a country closer to achieving economic, social, racial, and
environmental justice.

And we must hold our majority to protect our democracy. The right-wing GOP
continues to peddle dangerous lies about the 2020 election results. It
continues to attack LGBTQIA+ communities, public school teachers,
activists, and the very foundations of our democracy. It’s absolutely
critical that we protect the Democratic majorities in the House and
Senate, and stop a GOP takeover in Congress.

I have a plan to help elect Democrats across the country. But I can only
enact our full organizing and campaigning plan if we see stronger
fundraising. We simply can’t have our fundraising 12% behind at this
critical juncture.
