Introducing the Protecting the Permian Basin Act of 2022 The current worldwide energy crisis is so bad that Europeans have returned to the pre-industrial days of burning wood chips to heat their homes. In the United States, energy costs are so high that 1 in 6 families cannot afford to pay their utility bills. Even still, President Biden and Congressional Democrats are so indebted to their Green New Deal lobbyists that they buried a NEW tax on Permian producers in the recently-passed Inflation ‘Expansion’ Act. Oil and gas produced in the Permian Basin is essential to an affordable, reliable, and secure energy supply. That is why I am proud to introduce the Protecting the Permian Basin Act of 2022, which ensures that the entrepreneurs and innovators in West Texas will not be burdened by yet another needless and harmful tax. Announcing Election Security Legislation  The future of our country depends on secure elections. Conservatives in Congress have developed a plan, called the American Confidence in Elections (ACE) Act, to make sure every election is free and fair.  The ACE Act provides states with critical tools to secure their elections and strengthen voter ID requirements, bans non-citizens from voting, prevents taxpayer dollars from funding congressional campaigns, protects conservative voices and free speech by preventing a ‘Misinformation Czar,’ and more.  Election security is vital to the future of our nation, and I am proud to support this legislation to restore confidence in our voting system.

Your Thoughts on President Biden's Student Loan Bailout Last week, President Biden announced his unconstitutional plan to transfer student loan debt to American taxpayers. The latest estimates indicate this program will cost American taxpayers up to $1 TRILLION dollars. This move is a slap in the face of every student and family who budgeted, saved, chose an affordable university, deferred their education, and/or worked through college. President Biden's attempt to spend his way out of his self-made economic disaster will only push our economy further into ruin. 234 residents from Texas-11 have taken my survey asking whether they are for or against President Biden's bailout policy. As of now, 95% oppose, and 5% support. I'd love to hear your opinion. Let me know your thoughts here or below.

Touring the Hub for U.S. Oil & Gas Refining and Exporting   The reciprocal relationship between the Permian Basin and Corpus Christi could not be more critical to our economic and national security.   I recently made the trip down to Corpus to tour the Port of Corpus Christi, the Valero Refinery, and Cheniere’s Corpus Christi Liquefaction facility. All of these sites are critical to the Permian Basin’s ability to export our product around the United States and the world.    It was an important visit to discuss ways we can continue working together to maintain energy dominance and boost our supply of affordable, reliable, Texas-made energy.

Fly into Fall at Midland Airpark It was an honor to serve as the Co-Grand Marshal for the Fly into Fall event at the Midland Airpark on Saturday. I hope that the event sparked an interest in aviation for the many awesome kids and families who made it out. Thank you to the City of Midland and Midland Athletic Company for putting together a wonderful celebration of aviation and our community!

Mason Town Hall The Mason community is special and resilient—clearly shown through the wonderful effort to rebuild their magnificent courthouse. It was a pleasure to visit with so many leaders in Mason at a Town Hall this week at my 53rd Town Hall since being sworn into office.
