Last week, the House took up the 2020 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

This legislation would provide almost $735 billion in defense spending, an increase of $131 billion during Donald Trump’s presidency. This funding will go directly towards:
  • our endless wars in Afghanistan and other countries
  • perpetuating the war in Yemen
  • developing and deploying new nuclear weapons
  • banning transgender troops
  • and keeping Guantanamo Bay open, among other things
We need military policy that supports our values while supporting our military. I could not vote for this bill. If you agree it’s time to stop funding endless wars, join me and add your name now:

We can’t allow Trump and Republicans to keep using our defense budget to fund their discriminatory policies, like banning transgender troops.
