GREAT MINNESOTA GET-TOGETHER: Walz-Flanagan at the State Fair

The Minnesota State Fair kicked off last Thursday, August 25th, and Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan have been enjoying their time visiting with some of our great partners and trying exciting new foods (as well as some classic favorites). 

If you’re planning to visit the Fair before it ends on September 5th, be sure to stop by the new Walz-Flanagan booth and share your support for the campaign! You’ll maybe even score one of our limited-edition buttons.

CHEF CONNECTION: Andrew Zimmern and Lt. Governor Flanagan

One special moment from the State Fair occurred when the Lt. Governor met up with friend and celebrity chef Andrew Zimmern. They chatted about the importance of this election while sampling some of the most hyped new fair foods. You can watch a video of their time together here.

We are so proud to have secured four new endorsements this week from Everytown for Gun Safety, Giffords: Courage to Fight Gun Violence, International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49, and the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters. Preventing gun violence and protecting the right to organize are central to our campaign and we are thrilled to have partners this election cycle that can help us elevate those issues.
