This week, Democrat Mary Peltola was declared the winner of the special
election for Alaska’s at-large congressional district, 51.5% to 48.5% —
and made history doing it.

That’s right — Democrats just scored an upset victory in Alaska, flipping
their congressional seat for the first time in 50 years.

This is a huge victory. But Congresswoman-elect Peltola is facing off with
Sarah Palin and another Republican candidate again in just two months to
win a full term to this same seat. Incumbency has its advantages, but
she’s going to need the resources to turn out voters yet again. That’s why
I’m asking:
