In June, the Supreme Court took away our constitutional right to abortion and we need all hands on deck to fight back.
Anti-abortion politicians have planned and plotted for this moment for decades — and they are working overtime to achieve their ultimate goal: a nationwide abortion ban. The number of states outright banning abortion changes by the day, and it could rise to as many as 26.
At their core, these attacks are about power and control — a warped desire from politicians to control what we can and cannot do with our bodies, and the care medical professionals can provide, with the goal of holding onto power. We know who is most harmed by these bans: people of color, people with low incomes, and people who live in rural areas.
Voters in Kansas proved exactly what we know to be true: The American people overwhelmingly want the freedom to make decisions about their own bodies and futures. We need to elect leaders who will protect that freedom — not take it away.
That is why I am writing to you. We need to send Sharice Davids to the U.S. House to represent Kansas’ 3rd Congressional District. Sharice will protect our right to access reproductive health care, including abortion. And we need you to get her elected.
