John,
Remember Sarah Palin? She ran for vice president back in 2008 as a far-right Republican. Palin’s platform included privatizing Social Security and raising the retirement age.
The American people resoundingly rejected Palin and her plans to gut our earned benefits. But now, Palin is trying to make a comeback by running for Alaska’s U.S. House seat.
Because the seat’s previous occupant died in office, Alaska held a special election earlier this week. In a historic upset, Palin was defeated by Democrat Mary Peltola, a champion of protecting and expanding our earned benefits.
But this special election only determined who will hold the seat for the rest of this year. Both Palin and Peltola are on the ballot again this November, and this time they’re running for a full term in the U.S. House.
We need to keep Sarah Palin and her plans to cut Social Security out of the U.S. House of Representatives! Can you chip in $5 to support Mary Peltola’s campaign?
Mary Peltola is a groundbreaking candidate: She is the first Democrat to represent Alaska in the U.S. House since the early 1970s, and the first Native Alaskan to serve in Congress.
Peltola supports protecting and expanding Social Security, including repealing the GPO/WEP provisions that prevent public servants from receiving their full Social Security benefits.
Donate $5 to keep Social Security champion Mary Peltola in Congress — and keep Sarah Palin out!
