John – Last night President Biden gave an impassioned speech in front of Philadelphia’s Independence Hall.
He spoke plainly about our democracy being under threat by Republicans and anyone who stands by while our rights are stripped away.
But the president also made it clear that we are NOT powerless. And he's right.
We are not powerless against extremist, nationalistic Republicans. We are not powerless against the billionaires who dictate policy in Washington and hoard wealth while the planet burns and people starve. We are not powerless to stop the climate crisis.
We are the furthest thing from powerless. We the people are more powerful than we know – but as the president said last night, we have to CHOOSE to fight for our future.
