Picture this, John: It’s November 6, 2024, the day after the election. Democrats had the votes to win the White House again… but it’s not that simple.

Because Republican leaders in key swing states are refusing to certify the election results. Governors, secretaries of state, state legislators – they’re all GOP and all unified. They say the Republican candidate (Trump, or maybe DeSantis?) is the real winner. The country is plunged into a constitutional crisis, one there may be no coming back from.

What I just shared is a terrifying picture of one possible future. But if people who care about democracy don’t fight with everything they have now, it could be our reality in 2024. Here’s why:

- Many state leaders elected this year will be in place in 2024. That’s why we’re supporting fair-minded Democrats who are running against election liars in toss-up races!
- If the Trump Supreme Court gives its blessing to the GOP’s fringe independent state legislature theory, Republican-controlled state legislatures could have near-total authority over federal election rules.
- Everything we’ve seen from Republicans indicates that they’re gearing up to cause chaos at the polls in 2022 and 2024.
