CNN's new film focuses on five trailblazing women who brought the world to our screens
|
From Tiananmen Square to the Arab Spring, to Sarajevo and the world beyond, the new CNN Film No Ordinary Life highlights the courageous women who were there to capture history in action.
The documentary tells the story of trailblazing camerawomen: Jane Evans, Maria Fleet, Margaret Moth, Mary Rogers, and Cynde Strand. Tough, talented, resilient, and resourceful, these fierce five recount the risks of reporting under fire with white-knuckle, behind-the-scenes footage, often braving dangerous circumstances to get the story.
"We were brave and came back with the goods. What united us was our passion for each story,” said Strand.
The film premieres at 10 p.m. ET on Monday, September 5. Click here to watch the trailer. Plus, watch Anderson Cooper's interview with director Heather O'Neill and camerawoman Cynde Strand.
