Here’s the latest headline from the Star Tribune on this race:
"Minnesota secretary of state candidates Crockett, Simon offer different approaches on voting" - Star Tribune

You bet me and my opponent have different views and approaches to voting! At every turn, my opponent wants to make voting harder for Minnesotans, instead of making it easier for every eligible voter.
Here are just a few ways that she would hamper our voting system:
- “Starve” our absentee ballot system.
- Shorten the early voting period.
- Require voters to show a government-issued photo ID, even though senior citizens and many people do not have IDs to show.
- Reduce the number of drop boxes, which could interfere with rural voters making their voice heard.
We can’t afford to have a Secretary of State like her. Now that we’re in September, more people are paying attention and making their decision about who to vote for. We must expand our reach across the state and to do that we need to raise another $5k before the Labor Day weekend. Will you chip in $10 or more now?

My opponent’s views come from conspiracy theories and disinformation. Here’s what the Star Tribune said:
“Crockett's push to impose tighter voting laws stems from her belief that the 2020 election was "rigged" in Minnesota, a falsehood that has no evidence supporting it.”
And they’re right. Minnesota consistently has the highest turnouts in the nation - and our elections are rated as among the most secure, safe, and fair in the country.
There is a lot on the line in November. Democracy is on the ballot and that’s why we’re reaching out to people like you. We must keep correcting the record and leading with the truth. You can help us do that by chipping in $10 or more right now →
Thanks for everything,
Steve
