Free youth shooting competition Sept. 24

Know a young person who enjoys shooting? Registration is open for the?*2022 Nebraska Youth Smallbore Silhouette Invitational*, the longest running organized youth shooting event in the state!

Mark your calendars for this *free competition at Pressey Wildlife Management Area on Saturday, Sept. 24.*?Get your friends together to form a team, or sign up as an individual, to battle it out for medals or trophies and the pride of coming out on top.

The competition is open to youth *ages 11 or older* who have successfully completed Hunter Education AND have not yet graduated from high school. (Proof of Hunter Education completion is required.)

A few more things to know:


* The range opens for practice from 8-10 a.m. Matches will begin at 10:30 a.m. and conclude mid-afternoon.?
* Competitors will be grouped in various classes according to age, rifle weight, sight type and experience level, competing against others in their own class.
* Ear and eye protection and a clear chamber indicator will be required. We will have indicators available if you do not have one.
* Shooters should bring their own rifle and ammunition ? Standard or High Velocity .22 short, long or long rifle. No Stingers or Ultra High Velocity ammo allowed.

Pressey Wildlife Management Area is located 17 miles south of Broken Bow. Bring your family and a sack lunch, and join us!
