John,

“I don’t have time for abortion.” - Paul LePage

Maine Republicans have been saying so many crazy things about abortion, it can be hard to keep them all straight. So we went ahead and put together a round-up of a handful of real statements Maine GOP candidates have made about reproductive rights.

If abortion is still legal in Maine, why does it matter what Republicans are saying now? Without the constitutional protection of Roe, the GOP could pass a full abortion ban — both in Maine and nationwide.

So before we get to the round-up, could you step up and help us keep MAGA extremists out of office? Pitch in $5 now.

Paul LePage said he plans to win “the House, the Senate, and the Governorship,” so we included candidates that the Maine GOP is supporting at all levels. These are the people the Republican party is rallying behind.

I don’t believe [in] abortion at all.” - Rep. Peter Lyford (R-Eddington)

Future generations are going to look back at us today, and wonder how we tolerated the mass genocide taking place in abortion clinics across America.” - Eric Brakey (candidate for Senate District 20)

The pro-life movement is where I started. That was my priority when I began in politics.” - Elizabeth Jordan (candidate for House District 134)

And of course, who can forget: “He said it was settled law.Susan Collins

To keep abortion legal in Maine, we need to be ready to defeat these candidates — this November and for years to come. Can you donate $5 now?

Thank you,

Gaetan Davis
