Last Tuesday was a big night for Ruth's List and our candidates. And it didn't go unnoticed! Florida Politics named Ruth's List one of the winners on its list of winners and losers emerging from Florida's primary elections.

And here's what some of our winning candidates had to say about Ruth's List:

The tide is turning, and Democratic voters are sending a clear message that we will not support candidates who vote to take away our freedom. But our work is far from done. We have 50 candidates on the ballot in November races, and are still issuing new endorsements.  If you haven't donated to Ruth's List yet this cycle, we need your support. And if you have, I hope you'll consider making another donation. Every dollar we raise from now to election day will go to support our slate of women candidates. It's up to all of us to keep this momentum going!

ELECTION RESULTS

Last week, Ruth's List celebrated major election victories for 31 of our endorsed candidates in state and local races across Florida -- that's an incredible 76% win rate! For years, we have been recruiting and training candidates, laying the groundwork for last week’s victories and those to come in November. With your help, we’ve nominated and elected a bench of Democratic pro-choice women who will stand against extremism and fight for the reproductive rights of all Floridians. Join us in wishing them congratulations!  

ENDORSEMENTS

We're thrilled to see one of our very own, Karla Hernandez, selected as Charlie Crist's running mate. A former Ruth's List board member, Karla would make history as the first Democratic woman Lieutenant Governor of Florida. 

Karla is an exceptionally talented leader whose commitment to our communities, to championing equality, and to protecting reproductive freedom stands in stark contrast to our current state leadership under the DeSantis regime. It's an honor for us to issue this historic endorsement -- the first time Ruth's List has ever endorsed a Democratic pro-choice woman for Lieutenant Governor with a male candidate at the top of the ticket. 

CAMPAIGN MANAGER SPOTLIGHT

September's Torchbearer award goes to Camila Cisneros, campaign manager for Ashley Gantt's successful bid for State House District 109. Camila took on the enormous responsibility of running a top tier state legislative campaign and played a huge role in our major victory here. A former Ruth's List Fellow, she understands the importance of electing Democratic pro-choice women, and we could not be prouder of her accomplishments!
