I’m humbled by your response to our last email. It’s clear our movement and our momentum is still growing.
I know it’s hard to think about what happens after November. Honestly, it’s hard to think about what is happening tomorrow.
But wealthy real estate developers, pro-forced-birth extremists, private prison corporations, and people who make money by taking advantage of others—those people have the money to think about the next election cycles.
And they're willing to disrupt our communities and stop us from voting so that they can stay in power.
Billionaires like Jeffrey Yass, who funded my opponent in the past, are spending billions to secure their extreme conservative interests—including hostile takeovers of our federal and state courts.
That’s why drugs are still illegal; that’s why sex work is still criminalized. That’s how they took down Roe v. Wade.
These people specialize in disrupting communities that would otherwise vote for a better system. They do not care about our lives, the health of our neighborhoods, or our futures. They care about their power and their wealth.
And that's exactly why I'm fighting back.
