Hey Friend,

The Biden Administration’s rule on DACA last week was important, but the program is still in severe jeopardy. The hard truth is that it’s very possible this rule will never have a chance to take effect if DACA is struck down in the courts. We are still anxiously waiting to learn the outcome of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals' ruling on DACA's lawfulness — and all protections for Dreamers remain in limbo until the case is decided.

This decision could come in the coming days, weeks, or even months — there's no way for us to be sure. If you want to receive the most important news the moment we do, please sign up for SMS updates today.

Again, the Fifth Circuit’s decision could come any day and it’s expected to impact every aspect of the DACA program and every current DACA recipient. None of the changes established by the Biden Administration’s rule last week will occur if the court decides DACA is illegal.

That is why we’re preparing next step actions that anyone can participate in to help as well as pertinent resources for those directly impacted by the decision. If you or your loved ones are DACA recipients in need of information on next steps, please visit our DACA help database.

Dreamers and their families cannot afford more excuses and inaction. We cannot stop working until Dreamers and all undocumented individuals are permanently protected and can live free from fear. Only a legislative solution passed by Congress can protect Dreamers permanently. Thanks for staying in the fight.

In solidarity,
