IDs are Tough to Get. 

We've all heard the horror stories about long waits at the DMV, so why not switch to an appointment only model? That's what the Nevada DMV did. Unfortunately, it's policies like these that create even more barriers for vulnerable populations without an ID. 

In an article published today in the Las Vegas Weekly, PIDAF CEO Kat Calvin explained why it's so hard to get an appointment at the DMV without a phone, an address or reliable internet service. 

There are so many barriers to getting an ID in this country. That's why Project ID Action Fund exists. While the team over at our our sister organization, Spread The Vote + Project ID is busy helping individuals get the IDs that they need to live full lives, we're advocating for ID policies that will allow each and every American to obtain a government-issued ID.
