Over the past month, one thing has become clearer than ever: Democrats are taking action and delivering, while Republicans do nothing.

Senate and House Democrats unanimously passed the ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ (IRA) earlier this month. When President Biden signed it into law, we made the most significant investment in the fight against climate change in our history.

Independent, non-partisan analysts estimate the IRA allocates $385 billion for combating climate change and increasing U.S. energy production with changes across the whole economy to cut carbon emissions:

• $260 billion in clean energy tax credits to incentivize investment in solar, wind, hydropower, and other renewable energy sources
• $80 billion in new rebates for electric vehicles, home green energy — and more;
• $1.5 billion in rewards to oil and gas companies who slash their methane emissions — and penalties for those that don’t;
• $27 billion for a ‘Green Bank’ investing in clean-energy technologies and infrastructure.
