John xxxxxx —
In a historic victory, Democrat Mary Peltola defeated former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin in Alaska’s special election — the latest example of voters in a deep-red state rejecting a Trump-endorsed ally.
Peltola is the first Democrat to win a House race in Alaska in 50 years and will be the first Alaska Native and first woman in the state’s history to serve in Congress.
The last time a Democrat won in Alaska was the same year of the landmark Roe v. Wade decision. And now that Roe has been overturned, a pro-choice leader is headed to Washington to fight For the People.
The momentum is on our side and in order to keep and expand our Democratic majority, it’s vital that we carry this energy through to November 8. Now, as we look to November, we must go all-in to defend our Democratic majority in the midterms.

In the aftermath of Dobbs, Kansas voters defeated an anti-abortion ballot measure, New York’s 19th rejected MAGA Republican politics and elected Democrat Pat Ryan in a district Trump won in 2016, and now Alaskans have flipped a long-standing red seat blue.
Momentum is on our side. With all of us working together, we can and will protect our democracy this November.
Keep the faith,
