It was January 21, 2010.

That’s when the Supreme Court handed down its infamous Citizens United ruling.

For 12 years and counting, corporations have been free to spend literally as much as they want “influencing” (i.e. corrupting) our elections.

A lot of those companies have something in common.

Many of the corporate behemoths that have been busy undermining our democracy have contracts with the federal government — to provide everything from paper clips to fighter jets.

Congress *still* hasn’t done anything about the scourge of Dark Money. (Because far too many senators and representatives — Republicans and Democrats alike — are beholden to their Big Business contributors.)

But President Biden has the authority to require large federal contractors to disclose their political spending.

He doesn’t even need approval from Congress.

All he has to do is issue an executive order.

To President Biden:

The Supreme Court’s absurd ruling in Citizens United has resulted in unprecedented secret spending by Big Business that is corrupting our democracy. We urge you to issue an executive order requiring large federal contractors to reveal their political spending to the American people.

Add your name now.

Thanks for taking action.

For democracy,

- Robert Weissman, President of Public Citizen
