We need your help, friend – The Biden administration has just proposed to designate two types of PFAS as hazardous substances. This means the EPA finally has authority to make polluters pay to clean up certain types of PFAS. But our work isn’t over yet. The EPA will be asking to hear from the public, and we'll only have 60 days until the EPA’s comment period on PFAS closes. We know chemical companies like DuPont and 3M will be scrambling to stop this progress. That’s why we need to reach our goal of 50k signatures so we can tell the EPA to make these polluters pay to clean up PFAS! PFAS chemicals have been linked to cancer and other serious health risks at incredibly low doses, yet an estimated 200 million Americans are exposed to PFAS-contaminated tap water. PFAS is still commonly used to this day in cookware, clothing and food packaging, even though these chemicals do not break down, building up in our bloodstreams over time. |

EWG has been fighting the PFAS contamination crisis for decades, and we finally have a real chance to hold companies accountable. But we’re going to need a tidal wave of support to keep pressure on the EPA to follow through. Can we count on you to join us? Thanks for standing with us, friend. – EWG Rapid Response |
