Knowing your rights is as important as ever.
Friend –
The devastating loss of our constitutional right to abortion has created a great deal of uncertainty about the state of reproductive care in Wisconsin. While we don't have all the answers today, we can provide some clarity on a few critical questions you may be asking in the aftermath of Dobbs.
Our reproductive rights experts at the ACLU of Wisconsin have put together a helpful resource that you can use to find out what your reproductive rights are. <[link removed]> Please note that the information provided is not intended as legal advice.
Our recent blogs about this summer's nightmarish Supreme Court term, <[link removed]> as well as the struggle for reproductive rights while incarcerated, <[link removed]> may also interest you.
This is a perilous time for reproductive freedom, as well as for our civil rights and liberties in general. Our ability to control our bodies, our futures, and our privacy is on the ballot this November, and we won't let the politicians who've turned their backs on our basic rights get away with it.
We need everyone to vote like your rights depend on it, because, let's face it, they do. This moment provides even more clarity as to why the right to vote and community activation matters in the near future, including in November and April.
There are sure to be many more crucial fights ahead, and the ACLU of Wisconsin is committed to being there for all of them, working alongside you to work towards a brighter and more just future.
In solidarity,
Dr. Melinda Brennan
