Underwater Bridge Inspection course

The Underwater Bridge Inspection course, NHI-130091, is scheduled to be held in Lansing, Michigan from November 15 - 18, 2022.?

Effective June 6, 2022, the updated National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) require that all new divers performing underwater bridge inspections must complete the NHI-130091 Underwater Bridge Inspection course. ?Individuals that have completed a comprehensive bridge inspection training class (NHI-130055 or NHI-130056) prior to June 6, 2022, meet the qualification requirements of an Underwater Bridge Inspection Diver and are not required to take NHI-130091.

The course is intended for trained divers who require a knowledge base of underwater bridge inspection and evaluation techniques in order to meet the educational requirements of the NBIS for underwater bridge inspection training. The course would also be of interest to non-diver bridge inspectors, and FHWA, state, and local agency structural engineers.
