The OAC’s advocacy efforts have played a key role in changing the way our society views and treats people living with obesity. But now, we need your help in making to world a better place for people with obesity. We’ve just launched an Advocacy Town Hall Series, aimed at preparing more obesity advocates than ever for the fight against weight stigma and access to care. If you have ever wanted to be an advocate for yourself and others, or you’ve just wanted to learn more about advocacy, the OAC’s Advocacy Town Hall Series is for you. The OAC’s Advocacy Town Hall Series is a five-part series of meetings hosted by OAC leadership covering the issues we focus on and building your advocacy skills. The meetings will be held every other Thursday evening in the fall via Zoom. Each session will present a 15-20 minute lesson breaking down an issue OAC focuses on or an advocacy skill, then open the meeting up for an interactive Q&A session. | |
By attending the Advocacy Town Hall Series, you will: - Take a deep dive into the core issues the OAC is fighting against
