This isn’t the message we were hoping to share this morning, but we came up short on our August fundraising goal last night.

No lie. No exaggeration. We came up short, and not by a little bit. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does (and this close to the election), it’s critically important that we make it up.

We just can’t afford to miss these goals. Not while National Republicans are spending millions to beat Mark. Not when coming short on a goal this close to the election could make the difference on persuading the voters we need to win.

So, now we need to make it up. This month is ESPECIALLY important because it’s the last FEC fundraising deadline month before Election Day and we’ll be legally required to report our fundraising numbers for everyone to see.

We know we send a lot of these emails, but we really need your help to get back on track. That’s why we are setting a 48-hour fundraising goal of $200,000. Just two days to give it all we’ve got. So please, John:
