We’ve passed the Inflation Reduction Act, CHIPS Act, Safer Communities Act, and more. This session of Congress has been historic.

Here’s what you need to know about our new laws:

• Inflation Reduction Act: This will lower prescription drug costs, make major investments to combat climate change, cap Medicare insulin costs at $35/month for Medicare patients, lower the deficit, and ensure corporations pay more in taxes.
• PACT Act: This will secure VA health care access for the 3.5 million vets who were exposed to deadly toxins while serving our country.
• CHIPS Act: This will strengthen American manufacturing, create good jobs, cut consumer costs, protect our economy and turbocharge U.S. innovation.
• Safer Communities Act: The first bill of its kind in 30 years, it expands gun background checks, funds red flag laws, provides mental health aid, closes the “boyfriend loophole,” and stops illegal straw purchases.
• Infrastructure Law: This law will create new jobs to rebuild America’s roads and bridges, replace lead pipes, and boost the production and use of electric vehicles.
• American Rescue Plan: This law got America back on its feet by reopening schools and businesses, getting shots in arms, and expanding the child tax credit.

Democrats have done a lot of good work. Now it’s up to us to do everything we can to keep our majority so we can continue making real progress for the American people.
