Hey John, it’s actor and advocate Mark Ruffalo.
I wanted you to be one of the first to know that I’ll be joining Pramila Jayapal for her annual Build Our America event.
Build Our America is a celebration of the diverse coalition that so many have built to create a stronger and more inclusive America. I’m joining Pramila because she’s a fighter for working people, an advocate for serious action to address the climate crisis, and a leader for all of us in Congress.
We’ll discuss Pramila’s leadership in growing the progressive movement and her organizing work ahead of the midterm elections. The funds raised from this event will help Pramila travel to key districts across the country, host virtual phonebanks for other progressives, and donate to candidates who need additional funding. You won’t want to miss it, John.
The event is virtual and, for a limited time, we’re offering early bird tickets to all who can chip in $3 or anything at all to Pramila’s re-election campaign. Donate whatever you can NOW to join me + Pramila on Saturday, September 17th at 3:30pm PT/6:30pm ET. You won’t want to miss this!
Even before she was elected to Congress in 2016, Pramila was an organizer in the fight for a $15 minimum wage. She knows what it means to fight for change inside and outside of Congress — it’s part of the reason she’s such an important progressive leader on Capitol Hill.
As Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Pramila has elevated the power of progressives and grown the caucus to nearly 100 members. And she has been at the forefront of the work to invest in the clean energy we need to cut emissions and avert climate catastrophe, advocate for just and humane immigration policies, and protect our democracy and elections.
I know too many lawmakers in Congress listen to corporations more than they listen to the voice of the people. I’m with Pramila because she’s a leader who always puts the people first. And that’s why I’m joining her for Build Our America on September 17.
I hope to see you on the 17th, John.
Thank you,
Mark Ruffalo
