Today kicks off Recovery Month. If you are supporting a loved one in recovery (or if you are in recovery yourself), we honor you! Recovery is for everyone – every person, every family, every community.
The goal throughout September is to come together, celebrate individuals in recovery and offer hope to those who are struggling. Recovery Month reinforces the positive message that behavioral health is essential to overall health, prevention works, treatment is effective and people can and do recover.
The 2022 Recovery Month theme, “Recovery is For Everyone: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community,” reminds people in recovery and those who support them that no one is alone in the journey through recovery. Everyone's journey is different, but we are all in this together.
This month, Partnership to End Addiction joins the recovery community in celebrating the individuals and families living lives in recovery and those that make recovery possible. Over the next several weeks stay tuned to the Partnership’s emails and social media channels. We’ll be providing educational resources and tools for managing recovery, launching a new video series on YouTube, plus premiering all new Heart of the Matter with Elizabeth Vargas podcast episodes. We’re also excited to share moments from the first-ever Mobilize Recovery Across America, a cross country bus tour, celebrating the recovery experience in different regions throughout the country.
