Hello Friend,

I have great news to share with you!

We had a big win for religious liberty in Kentucky!

Thanks to the efforts of Hazlitt Coalition Reps. Matt Locket, Savannah Maddox and Felicia Rabourn, House Bill 43, also known as the “Church is Essential Act,” just passed!

The government trampled our rights during COVID.

NEVER again will we allow them to shut down churches during declared emergencies.

“As given to us in the Bill of Rights, every American citizen has the right to practice and exercise their religion. During the COVID-19 pandemic, churches were told they could not meet in person, and if they did, their actions would be reported to the governor. This was a violation of our rights, and it should never happen again. With this legislation, the government cannot ban churches from meeting in person, and it ensures that every person has the right to practice their religion how they please. - Rep. Shane Baker, HB 43 Original Sponsor
