Emergency: DEC Pakistan Floods Appeal
Dear John,
My name is Philippe, and I work in CAFOD’s emergency response team. As you will have seen on the news, Pakistan has been devastated by exceptionally heavy monsoon rains and flash flooding.
Over 30 million people have been affected by the flood and 10 million people made homeless. They have lost their homes, cattle, and livelihoods. Families are in urgent need of safe drinking water, food, emergency medical assistance and shelter.

Donate to the Pakistan Floods Appeal
We have joined with the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) to launch an appeal, in response to this emergency. The local Pakistani organisation that we work with, Community World Service Asia (CWSA), is responding in the Sindh province, one of the worst affected areas. You can support these local experts who are already working alongside communities, helping those most in need, with immediate food and emergency medical assistance.
Please also join me in keeping the people of Pakistan in your prayers.
Philippe Mougin
CAFOD Emergency Response Team Leader
