As we head into the holidays, we are calling on our representatives to pass the Roadmap bill, charting the pathway forward to a clean energy future.

Support The 2050 Roadmap to a Clean and Thriving Commonwealth

 To avoid the devastation of irreversible climate change, we must cut our carbon pollution to zero by 2050. We need a comprehensive, people-centered plan to reach our emissions reduction climate goal. The Roadmap bill mandates that the state develop and follow a detailed, overarching plan for reaching net-zero emissions by 2050. Let's pass #2050RoadmapMA- H.3983 now!

We want to make sure the House Ways and Means Committee releases this bill for a vote in the full House. Contact the Committee Members and let them know the importance of passing the Roadmap Bill (H.3983) ASAP! Email [email protected] after contacting them.

Show Your Support For Climate Bills: Two bills submitted to the Legislature would directly address the climate emergency AND save the public money:

1. Bill H.853, An Act to Assure the Attainment of Greenhouse Gas Emissions Goals of the Alternative Portfolio Standard amends Massachusetts’ Alternative Portfolio Standard (APS) by removing subsidies for wood-burning heating systems.
2. Bill H.897, An Act Relative to Forest Protection protects all state conservation land as parks or reserves where forest ecosystems are guided primarily by natural processes. This action will fight climate change by reducing carbon loss and increasing carbon sequestration.

Ask if Your Legislator Agrees: Big business lobbyists are pushing legislators to pass regressive taxes and fees that disproportionately affect low- and middle-income people. Contact your legislator by phone or email and voice your opposition to regressive revenue and voice your support for corporations paying their fair share.
