Friend,

In just a few short hours, we’ll reach our midnight deadline and enter the thick of election season. With less than 70 days until voters decide on each of our measures, I’ve been thinking a lot about how these campaigns could go — especially our fights in Michigan and Vermont.

Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade , we’ve seen extremist politicians from all across the country play twisted political games that have put the livelihood and safety of Americans in grave danger. Like me, I’m sure you’ve seen the headlines — women whose doctors have to rush to contact a court official before they can perform a lifesaving procedure, cancer patients who have been denied treatment because that medicine is also used in an abortion.

People’s lives are at stake and these politicians are OK playing games with them. Well, friend, we’re not.

People everywhere are starting to wake up to the power of ballot measures. They’re seeing in real time how they can win the protections, policies, and progress they need — and no longer have to rely on politicians and their partisan games.

Winning our campaigns in Michigan and Vermont sets the stage for other states to use ballot measures to protect or restore their access to abortion. And friend, this work will save lives.

Winning these campaigns is only the first step. If you’re with us as we fight to protect abortion and make history in the process, please consider donating before tonight’s deadline to help us meet our goal.

I know that together, we can do this.
