This is very bad news because polls across the country – and actual election results in New York, Alaska and Kansas – are showing Democrats gaining ground on Republicans with just two months left to go.

It appears that Republicans got cocky about a “Red Wave,” and now the Democrats may hold onto power.

I’ve been in tough battles before, so this is nothing new. But what is new is the district I’m running in thanks to redistricting. There are thousands of new voters in this district, and it certainly isn’t the easiest one for Republicans to win in Florida.

And, if we want to have any chance of taking back the House from Nancy Pelosi, we MUST win this race. So, please understand: no matter what you might have thought in the past–victory for Republicans is very far from a sure bet.

We absolutely must pick up our fundraising pace if Republicans are going to succeed!

In fact, I’m just going to give you the unvarnished truth that many pundits won’t: forcing us to cut our budget right now would be just the icing on the cake of a very successful August of campaigning for Democrats.

You may not want to hear that truth, but it’s the reality: Democrats are gaining ground, and we need to act now to stop them.
