John,
I
initially founded Forward with the belief that we can build a movement
based on principles that encourage reforming our political system to
make it more responsive to the American people. Republican, Democrat,
independent, Libertarian, Green - these are just labels that put
people in boxes. As the new Forward
Party, we’re moving beyond these constraints and tackling the issues
plaguing our country through good-faith debate and broad consensus
problem-solving.
Wanting to show Americans that we practice our beliefs, the
Forward Party joined together with the Renew America Movement
and the Serve America Movement at the end of July. These two
democracy-reform groups represent an ideologically diverse
constituency and broaden our coalition to better match the makeup of
our country. Through our combined efforts, we have the
experience and expertise to build a viable, durable, credible new
national party in American politics.
Our party is founded on the
principles of responsiveness to the needs of our citizens, providing
transparency and collaboration in the decision-making process, and
being consensus builders in our communities. It’s not about the
ideological right or the ideological left - it’s about moving our
country Forward.
We want
