Team,
The day we’ve been warning you about has arrived: the Super PACs are officially going up on TV in our district starting this week. Two separate Republican Super PACs have launched ads in the 7th district this week. Together, they are set to spend more than $1,000,000 on TV attacking me – and that’s just this week.
There’s a reason I talk about outside spending: my opponent simply isn’t raising enough to be on the air as much as we are. In fact, right now his campaign is scheduled to do very minimal TV this week, and none in the weeks following – he is relying on the super PACs' dark money to speak for him, potentially for the rest of the campaign. He is banking on attack ads to do their job and sway voters against me, rather than talking about positive things he wants to do.
In contrast, my TV ads speak for themselves, focusing on the issues that matter in this race and to mid-Michigan. And because I don’t accept money from corporate PACs, I’m only able to produce them because of the generosity of the engaged and dedicated grassroots supporters who chip in when they can. So, if you’d like to help us produce more of our own messaging and push back against the negative super PAC ads, you can make a contribution below. Thank you for your support!
