The Conservatives have wasted the summer on an unedifying, navel-gazing
leadership contest while turning a blind eye to the very real cost of living
crisis evolving before them.

Neither Liz Truss nor Rishi Sunak are up to the job. They're living on another
planet while the cost of food, energy and petrol are skyrocketing.

But we can't count them out just yet. The Conservatives have a huge majority,
wealthy backers and media support. We can beat them at the next election - but
we need everyone on board.

Six months after Putin's unprovoked invasion, the British people's support of
Ukraine is a mark of national pride.

The bravery of the Ukrainian people in the face of Putin's aggression is an
inspiration to us all.

At this dark moment we must renew our commitments of international
cooperation and stand with our allies against this horrendous invasion. We must
keep our resolve, and we must stand up to authoritarian aggression.
