Hi there, team! I just wanted to take a quick moment to reintroduce myself — I’m James, Deborah’s Finance Director.

My job is to make sure our campaign has the resources to organize voters, run digital and TV ads, print yard signs, fight back against right-wing attacks, and more so we can re-elect Deborah on November 8th (psst, we’re less than 70 days away!).

So every few months, I sit down with Deborah and the team to decide on a budget. Then, we set internal fundraising goals and deadlines to keep us on track.

One of those deadlines is tonight. Our August end-of-month deadline expires in just a few hours — and to be honest, our numbers aren’t where I’d like them to be this close to the deadline.

Look, missing a goal here and there doesn’t mean the sky is falling, but it does have real consequences for our campaign. Republicans are laser-focused on flipping the four seats they need to reclaim the House majority this November, and they’ve already raised more than $200 million to attack campaigns like ours.
