As an immigrant, most would’ve never expected someone like me to run for Congress, and truthfully, I did not expect it myself.

But for one, I care too much about Long Beach, our state, and this country to let it fall into the hands of special interests that don’t value the residents of our district and that will push their own agendas forward at the expense of the rest of us.

That’s why I made the decision to reject corporate PAC money when I launched this campaign. I want this campaign to be supported and represented by the people I am in this fight for, people like you — my vote cannot be bought.

But the reality is, that decision puts our campaign at a disadvantage, because campaigns are expensive. But we cannot let money stop us from fighting for working class families, immigrants, LGBTQ+ communities, and everyone in between across Long Beach and across America.
