John, earlier this month I was proud to once again accept the Democratic nomination to serve Missouri's First Congressional District.
I'm forever grateful. We are powerful because of *this* community.
Before stepping into the Halls of Power, I didn't know that every speech I would give on the House floor would begin with "St. Louis and I rise," but now it's the proud call of the people of our community.
It is more than a phrase; it is central to our work — whether it be our efforts to address and eradicate white supremacy or build our robust, people-centered constituent services program.
I care that every person in our community has what they need to thrive and live a dignified life. That's why in my second term in Congress, we are going to keep rising TOGETHER.
But first, we need to win our general election on November 8. Our team set a goal to raise $38,500 by tonight's end-of-month deadline, and we're currently running 4% short.
