Skagit County Public Health expands vaccine services for children and adolescents

Skagit County Public Health is excited to offer routine childhood and adolescent vaccinations beginning on September 14, 2022. The vaccine clinic, located on the 3rd?floor at 700 South 2nd?Street in Mount Vernon, is open Wednesday through Friday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. All vaccinations are provided at no cost and health insurance is not required.

For assistance with vaccination information or to schedule an appointment, please call Skagit County Public Health at (360) 416-1500. Bilingual staff are available to assist you.

*As a reminder, Skagit County Public Health also provides the following vaccinations:*


* *COVID-19 vaccinations (prime doses and boosters) to all those aged six months and older. *Covalent booster doses are expected to be available starting later in September.
* Vaccinations for homebound residents are available on an as needed basis.
* Mobile vaccine clinics are scheduled according to need and capacity.

* *Select adult vaccines for those who are uninsured or underinsured. *
* *The monkeypox virus vaccine for those at high risk of infection.*
* Concerned that you may be at high risk? Please review the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention webpage on monkeypox prevention [ [link removed] ] and call (360) 416-1500 to discuss vaccination.
* Consult with your healthcare provider immediately if you have signs or symptoms of monkeypox.

Vaccination is one of the most important things we can do to protect ourselves and others against serious diseases. Vaccines work with our body?s natural defenses to help us safely develop immunity and dramatically lower our chances of getting vaccine preventable diseases and spreading infection to others. Vaccines undergo rigorous testing and monitoring and are one of the safest ways to protect your health.
