Just a few presidential elections ago, Missouri was one of the top-targeted swing states in the entire country. And even as recently as 2016, we had a Democratic senator, a Democratic governor, and Democratic leaders in four other statewide offices. 

But in recent years, far-right extremists like Josh Hawley were able to ride their way to Washington on Trump's wave of hate. They sold a lie to families here – showing up to photo ops and making promises left and right. They spread dangerous conspiracy theories and did everything they could to divide our communities and our nation.

The moment these leaders got to Washington, they turned their back on the very families who sent them there. They cozied up to the corporate lobbyists and spewed hate that went against our proud Missouri values.

The people of Missouri are smart, decisive, and ready to turn the page on Trumpism and the GOP's anti-abortion, pro-corporation, right-wing agenda. That’s why Mitch McConnell and his GOP cronies want to sell you on the lie that the Show Me State is unflippable and solidly red. They know the only way Republicans win this race is if grassroots Democrats sit it out.

This race isn't about changing Missouri. This is about returning Missouri to its roots and winning our state the honest, bold leader we deserve.
