Since the first group of Afghan allies were paroled into the United States, Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA) has stood in solidarity with them by providing resettlement services and advocating for the introduction of the Afghan Adjustment Act (H.R. 8685/S.4787), which occurred earlier this month.

The bill would allow Afghan nationals, including those who supported the U.S. mission in Afghanistan, to apply for permanent legal status. This bill brings our displaced Afghan brothers and sisters one step closer to the stability they need to safely rebuild their lives. CCUSA submitted another letter to Congress last week, calling for the swift passage of the bill.

Join CCUSA today in helping our nation’s Afghan allies by urging your senators and representatives to enact, in the remaining days of the 117th Congress, the Afghan Adjustment Act as a standalone measure or as a provision in the Continuing Resolution, which is expected to be voted on in late September. Urge Congress to Pass the Afghan Adjustment Act Today!
