Now that it turns out that it was an unpopular decision, he’s backtracking. During an interview at the State Fair, he was asked if he’d do ANYTHING differently with schools, and he said,
“Just to be clear, over 80% of our kids missed less than 10 days of in-class learning.”
What a LIAR! Entire school systems and multiple counties were remote-learning for entire school years. Graduations were missed, sports opportunities were ruined, and the mental health of thousands of kids was damaged.
