I’m so excited to announce that half a million vote-by-mail applications will be hitting the mailboxes of seniors all across the state this week! This is a huge initiative, and it’s because of the support of people like you that we’ve reached this milestone.

In their Jim Crow-era anti-voting bill passed last year, Texas Republicans targeted mail voting because they see that Democrats have been gaining ground with mail-in voters for over a decade.

We saw in primary elections earlier this year a higher mail-ballot rejection rate than ever before. So we redesigned our vote-by-mail application to help voters navigate around the obstacles Republicans have put in their way.

These applications are a huge first step, but by no means the end of the line. We still need to reach out to folks receiving these applications to make sure they got them, staff our hotline to answer any questions these voters may have, and then do it all again when they get their ballots in October.


This program has a real impact and delivers real votes. So can we count on you to rush a $7 contribution to our Vote-by-Mail Fund to help us reach these important Democratic voters?
