Because when we close the books on this August fundraising deadline, we want to post strong numbers that show Mitch McConnell and my opponent that we haven’t skipped a beat since the primary.

This is especially important because now we know who our opponent is. Kathy Salvi is an anti-choice candidate who opposes abortion rights, even in the case of rape, incest or to protect the life of a mother. She is also an ultra-wealthy self-funder who previously bankrolled her last campaign for Congress with nearly $1.3 MILLION.

So it’s safe to say we have our work cut out for us if we want to defend this seat. But I’m confident that with you by my side there’s nothing she or Mitch McConnell can throw at us that’ll make a difference.

We can push back against their attacks, but only if we meet our financial goals like this one.

On a more personal note, it would mean a lot to me to know you have my back as we get closer and closer to our re-election.
