Coming Soon: Health Care Fear-Mongering
News reports have begun appearing like this one in Politico warning that the rich medical and insurance industries are about to unleash an expensive avalanche of fear-mongering about Medicare for All. These groups will spend hundreds of millions of dollars this election cycle to protect their windfall profits and prevent a lowering of medical costs or improving the health of Americans.
But opposing these self-interested forces (and the politicians they sponsor) are individuals like myself who favor Medicare for All without any financial benefits.
It’s purely about principles (health care as a human right), lowering costs for Americans, and improving our health outcomes. Meanwhile, Ami Bera freely offers at his Town Hall Meetings that he was against Obamacare, supports no practical approach toward universal health care, and has been one of the largest recipients of donations from the corporate health care industry:
