John,
For over five decades, the Wilson Center has bridged the world of ideas and the world of policy. The work we do and values we represent as the living memorial to our 28th president have never been more vital. That’s why I’m writing to you today.
Don’t take it from me: Vice President Mike Pence, speaking at the inaugural Frederic V. Malek Public Service Leadership Lecture in October, said, “It is an honor to be here at the Wilson Center, named after a President that was a great champion for America leadership and for freedom on the world stage.”
If you believe in a fact-based, globally-minded, non-partisan approach to American leadership, will you step up now with a tax-deductible contribution to help the Wilson Center? [link removed]
We rely on contributions like yours—investments made by individuals and organizations in our work, our ethos, and our impact.
Your support means more research on the intersection between technology and geopolitics, on recent protests across every continent, on building and sustaining global cooperation, and on securing our democracy and fighting disinformation as we head into a major election year.
It means more scholarship on key countries, including China, Iran, and Ukraine. It means giving a platform to officials and thought leaders who are advancing balanced, bipartisan policy ideas. That includes Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE), who said about the U.S.-China relationship in October, “The reality, of course, is that there will be times when our views, our values, and our interests are at odds. Those moments will require us to have frank exchanges and more diplomatic engagement, not less, as Robert Daly has suggested in his work here at the Wilson Center.”
If supporting these issues matters to you, will you donate now? [link removed]
With just a few days left in 2019, time is growing short to make a tax-deductible contribution to the Wilson Center in this calendar year.
Donate now—and invest in the type of world you want to see in 2020. [link removed]
Happy holidays—and thank you!
With appreciation,
Jane Harman
Wilson Center Director, President, and CEO
