We’re officially only 10 weeks away from the midterm election!

When my Democratic colleagues and I were elected to lead Congress almost 2 years ago, we understood we had a difficult task at hand.

Our country was still suffering from the worst of the pandemic – so we got to work right away and delivered the American Rescue Plan to get the most vulnerable of us back on their feet and send America back to work, driving the unemployment rate back down to pre-pandemic levels.

It was also clear that our infrastructure was in desperate need of investment – so we passed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, sending billions of dollars to states to upgrade roads and bridges, among many other things, while simultaneously creating jobs and focusing on tackling the climate crisis.

And that was just our first year, folks. With the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act earlier this month, we expanded access to healthcare, made a monumental investment in the fight against climate change, and created a fairer tax system.

But there’s so much more to do! We cannot and will not stop there. We must keep up this momentum – and for that, we need you by our side. With only ten weeks left until the midterm election, it’s critical that we have your support, so we have set up a goal of raising $5,000 by midnight Wednesday to help us defend our Democratic majority.
